SSS attacked CBN and occupied Emefiele's office

Officers of the National Security Agency, SSS invaded the headquarters of the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN and seized the office of the Governor of the Central Bank, Godwin Emefiele.

The DAILY NIGERIAN reported that there was a dispute between the SSS officials and Emefiele over allegations of supporting terrorism.

In the past, the SSS asked the court to deny Emefiele's arrest warrant but he left the country for the annual vacation that will end tomorrow, January 17.

However, in December, the Federal High Court prohibited the SSS from arresting, inviting, or detaining Emefiele.

But today, Monday, the SSS officers who arrived at the CBN headquarters, brought in about 20 vehicles with security personnel.

The officers also barred all bank employees from entering Emefiele's office.

Peter Afunanya, the spokesperson of the SSS, did not respond to the message sent to him by the correspondent of Daily Nigerian.
