Court asked the PDP to expel Governor Wike from the party
Justice James Omotosho of the Federal High Court in Abuja on Monday ordered the PDP not to take any action to suspend or expel Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike from the party.
The order was given on the case filed by Wike against all the leaders of the PDP party.
The respondents to case number FHC/ABJ/CS/139/2023, dated and filed on February 2, are the PDP, the National Executive Committee, the National Executive Committee, the chairman of the party national party Dr. Iyorchia Ayu; PDP National Secretary, Senator Samuel Anyanwu and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), said Yola 24 correspondent
According to the resolution, the petitioner prays for an order to remain in his current position and to stop all actions involving the threat of suspension or dismissal, pending a hearing with and determining the origin of the warrant.
Wike also requested the court to allow him to proceed with the filing of the case based on the notice filed, and all other court proceedings in the case filed against the 1st to 5th respondents by way of substitution. It covers all the steps taken by the court. at the PDP National Secretariat.
The Governor of Rivers State also asked for an order that sees this kind of service as a proper service.
After reading the affidavit in support of the case filed by one Precious Ikpe and it was entered in the court register and after hearing the case, the court granted the request.
