Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the presidential candidate of the APC party, said that his background as the son of a businesswoman gave him the opportunity to understand the problem that currency exchange has brought about in the community.
Tinubu, who at different times expressed the inappropriateness of the new system, said that as someone who rose in the market, he understood how the situation would affect the lives of the less powerful.
Speaking on Friday evening during a meeting with national business leaders in the Federal Capital, Abuja, the APC candidate said his mother fed him and educated him with business money, he added. that he can understand the fall and profit of traders.
Tinubu said he is aware that the lack of circulation of sufficient funds can bring instability in the daily economy.
He expressed his sympathy for small businesses and businesses that deal with perishable items, saying that they are the ones who will be most affected by the system.
Tinubu gave an example of a carrot seller he found during his election campaign tour in Gombe State, who was standing on his goods in the sun without anyone wanting to buy the goods, saying that this happened because of a lack of money in his hands of the people.
The country's presidential candidate called on businessmen not to let the currency exchange problem provoke them.
He said that if he succeeded in winning his election, he will create a way to provide easy loans to businessmen and remove all the problems that plagued them in their businesses.
Tinubu assured the businessmen that he knows where their itches are and that he will address them as someone who comes from a business house.
The representatives of business leaders who addressed the participants gave a good testimony about the candidate whom they called as one of them.
They promised to give more votes to Tinubu's victory, whom they described as the best candidate.
Tinubu attended the meeting with Governors including Muhammad Badaru Abubakar (of Jigawa) and Abubakar Sani Bello (of Niger), along with his campaign council secretary Hon. James Faleke, and other stakeholders of the party.
