64.3 million Nigerians suffer from food insecurity - MDD
An estimated 64.3 million Nigerians are food insecure, according to the World Food Program.
The agency says 170 million people across 19 countries do not have enough food.
The most affected countries include Niger, Mali, Burkina Faso, Guinea, Chad, Sierra Leone, Cameroon, Liberia, Central African Republic, Togo, Guinea Bissau, and Nigeria.
In a report released by the agency on food shortage, it said that the food shortage in Nigeria has increased from 29 to 32 percent in the last three months.
She said that the problem of lack of food and nutrition in Nigeria and other West African countries is hindering the good life for the communities of many countries.
