A young man destroys his rival in front of the girlfriend he loves
The Adamawa State Police Force has arrested a 22-year-old youth named Muhammad Bala, who hails from Mararaban-Madagali in Madagali local government, on suspicion of killing a fellow candidate.
Muhammad Bala is accused of killing a young man named Bakura, who was looking for a girlfriend with the intention of getting married, GRTV reported.
The suspect committed the crime on February 15, 2023, at around nine o'clock at night in their house, the girlfriend named Maryam Muhammad after a heated argument broke out between them.
When the police were charging him, the suspect stated that he and his rival had had a dispute in the past and they had pulled each other's ears to stop going to Maryam.
It was found that on the day of the incident, the two youths met the girl at their house where a dispute broke out between them.
The dispute turned into a fight, in which the suspect stabbed the deceased who died from his injuries.
Confirming the incident, the spokesperson of the state police force, SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, said the suspect will be sent to court once they complete the investigation.
