APC supporters are holding a protest in Kano

At the INEC office in Kano state, northwest Nigeria, hundreds of members of the APC political party are staging a nonviolent demonstration.

The demonstrators are requesting a review of the state governorship election results from the electoral commission.

Abba Kabir Yusuf of the opposition NNPP was named the election's victor by the electoral commission.

After prevailing over his primary rival Nasiru Yusf Gawuna, a member of the state's APC ruling party

The demonstrators demanded that the election be ruled invalid.

The APC party has also complained about the election to INEC.
