Bandits kidnapped two farmers in Edo state
The Edo State Police Force in South-South Nigeria has confirmed that two people have been taken from Owan West Local Government Area. They are thought to have been taken by some bandits.
The army said it is doing everything it can to catch the kidnappers and free the people who were taken.
The Nigerian newspaper Daily Trust told the police that Omafuaire and Folorunsho, the two people who were taken, went to their farm in Ugbokuli to pick manja coconuts when they were taken by bandits.
The State Police's Public Relations Officer, SP Childi Nwabuzor, who confirmed the event, said that they are looking for the people and trying to get them out of danger.
