Botswana denies that the soldiers are starving in Mozambique
The Botswana Defense Force has denied reports that its troops deployed to northern Mozambique for peacekeeping operations are suffering from food shortages.
The army denied the report published by a newspaper, saying it was baseless.
In a statement issued by the National Defense Force on Wednesday, it said that its soldiers in the Cabo Delgado region are being given all the care they need to be motivated to fight with them.
About 300 Botswana troops have been sent to Mozambique in 2021 under a program to see the development of communities in southern Africa.
The media said that the raids by the Mozambican army and Samim have led to a decrease in the activities of the fighters in the north of the country.
