Crystal Palace have sacked Patrick Vieira

After losing 12 games, Crystal Palace fired Patrick Vieira as its head coach.

Palace lost 1-0 against Brighton in the Premier League on Wednesday, their third straight loss, leaving them winless in 2023.

The team is now ranked 12th in the Premier League standings, although there are only three points separating them from 18th, who is currently third from the bottom. Bournemouth.

Before the start of the 2021/22 season, Palace hired 46-year-old Frenchman Vieira, who had guided the team to a 12-place finish the previous year.

Vieira has received accolades for transforming Palace's style of play to one that is riskier, offensive, and plays effectively on the field.

The teams that scored the fewest goals this season were Wolves, Everton, and Southampton. However, this season they scored 21 goals in 27 games.

Prior to Brighton's victory over Palace on Wednesday, the team had lost its previous three games and had been unable to mount a credible offense.

With only five of the 33 points they ought to have, Palace is the only team with fewer points in 2023.

Osian Roberts, Kristian Wilson, and Said Aigoun, three of Vieira's assistants, departed from the group.

On Sunday at the Emirates, Palace will play host to Arsenal in a Premier League match.

Palace will encounter significant difficulties in their next 10 games because they will play against teams at the bottom of the standings.

Vieira, an ex-Arsenal player, guided Palace to the FA Cup semi-finals at Wembley and helped the team finish 12th in the Premier League last season.

Since beating Bournemouth on New Year's Eve, Palace has not lost a match.
