Five people have died as a result of the outbreak of Marburg disease in Tanzania
Five individuals have died in the past week in the villages of Bulinda and Butayaibega in the Kagera region of northern Tanzania as a result of Marburg sickness, according to the Tanzanian government.
The illness, which belongs to the same family as Ebola, is severe, causing extreme fever, bleeding, and joint pain in affected individuals.
According to Ummy Mwalimu, the health minister, three persons are being treated for their symptoms at hospitals.
Mwalimu stated, "We are working to stop the sickness from spreading, and we are optimistic that it won't spread to other places.
Professor Tumaini Nagu, a leading national health authority, has urged the citizens of the afflicted areas to stay away from intimate contact with those who have the illness.
