At least 23 people died Friday night in the US state of Mississippi because of a storm and flooding.

People also worry that more people are stuck under the building's rubble.

Many towns and villages were destroyed by the storm, and trees and power lines fell, leaving thousands of homes without power.

Reports say that some southern states were affected by the strong storm.

The National Weather Service has warned that the state could get hit by another storm with strong water.

The storm damaged the homes of people in Rolling Fork, a small town in the western part of the state.

Brandy Showah told CNN, "I've never seen a disaster like this. The storm completely destroyed our small town."
