Sen.  Emmanuel Bwacha Rushed To Court To Confirm His Candidacy

Sen.  Emmanuel Bwacha of Taraba State has requested the court to order the National Electoral Commission (INEC) to name him as the governorship candidate of APC in Taraba State.

INEC removed the name of Sen.  Emmanuel Bwachan is among the list of candidates for the governorship in Taraba state after the Supreme Court of Nigeria said that the APC party does not have a candidate for governorship in Taraba state because they did not hold a primary election which is Sen.  Emmanuel Bwacha claimed that there was a primary election and he won.  As a result, one of those who also stood as a candidate for governor in APC, David Sabo Kente, went to court and won against Sen.  Emmanuel Bwacha.

After the decision of the court, the mother of the APC national party has again organized a primary election in which the station of the head of the Nigerian Army, Gen.  Yusuf Tukur Buratai headed the committee.  After conducting this preliminary election, Sen.  Emmanuel Bwacha has been announced as the winner of the preliminary election of the APC governorship candidate in Taraba state.  But their part, David Sabo Kente, refused to participate in this primary election because they said it was illegal.  And they will go back to court.

However, after conducting this preliminary election, the National Electoral Commission still does not return the name of Sen.  Emmanuel Bwacha is not on the list of governorship candidates in Taraba state.  That made Sen.  Emmanuel Bwacha go to court to ask the court to order INEC to name him among the governorship candidates in Taraba state under the APC party, as reported by the Taraba Facts newspaper.
