Sinach Nigerian Singer
Sinach is a worship leader at Believers LovedWorld in addition to being a singer and songwriter from Nigeria. It is almost impossible to discuss gospel music in Africa without bringing Her name up at some point, but how did it first come into existence? The second daughter of seven children, Sinach was born on March 30th, 1973, making her the middle child overall. She was born and raised in Nigeria, more specifically in the state of Ebony.
In 1989, she began her singing career as a hobby in France by performing for her family. During that time, she was also serving as a staff member and singing in the chorus at Christ Embassy, which is the church led by Pastor Chris Oyakhilome. Those experiences were critical in shaping her into the vocalist that she is now and helped her get to where she is today. Sinach recalled that she used to have nightmares when she was younger in which she envisioned herself performing in front of enormous audiences. On the other hand, she did not make an effort to pursue a career in music.
Sinach, who graduated with a degree in physics from the University of Port Harcourt, planned to leave the nation not long after she received her diploma. But her pastor, Chris Oyakhilome, recognized that she had a great deal of potential and made the decision to assist her in developing that potential. Luckily, He was able to convince her against making that excursion.
Another difficulty Sinach was able to overcome was her father’s initial rejection to allow her pursue a career in music. He was concerned that being a musician would not provide any opportunities for financial advancement. However, Sinatra was determined to succeed, and thank god for that! She was recognized as having reached the age of pastor. Chris, who serves in the role of spiritual father and guide for her. According to Sinach, she did not get involved in gospel music for the aim of making money, but rather to assist in the propagation of the Christian message and to provide hope to those whose spirits were broken. Well, as it would eventually turn out, she was in safe hands, Since Christ Embassy has now gone on to train other young singers, including Joe praise, Moses Bliss, Frank Edwards, among others, into renowned gospel singers.

She was promoted to the position of senior worship leader at Christ Embassy, and her responsibilities now include leading worship both at the headquarters and globally. Then, because Sinach served as the worship leader, Pastor Chris frequently brought her along whenever he went to minister somewhere else. The fact that she was able to obtain greater confidence as well as a fan base as a result of that encounter significantly boosted her self-assurance. Sinach was just 19 years old when she performed her very first song, and the experience inspired her to begin creating other songs.
Unfortunately, she did not release her debut album until 2008, and it was simply titled Chapter one at the time. There are a number of songs on it, like "because you live" and "in your presence," among others, but the song "This is your season" stood out the most to me. It resulted in her receiving a number of prizes and solidified her position as one of the most prominent gospel singers in Nigeria. Since then, she has gone on to create a total of eight more albums, and she has maintained her position as one of the most consistent voices in the field of gospel music.
In 2016, Sinach became the very first person to receive the Christ Embassy Lima Songwriter of the Decade award, which recognized her for the contributions she has made to the genre of gospel music. The preceding decade saw her songs being sung in a variety of countries and translated into a wide variety of languages all over the world. She was honored with the African Achievers Award for Global Excellence in that same year. In addition, during that same year, she was recognized as one of the most influential Christians in Nigeria, alongside Chris oyakilome and Pastor Enoch Adeboye, and she was awarded the title of Western Africa Artist of the Year by Group Awards in Kenya for the second time in a row. As a songwriter, Sinach has won multiple honors and is responsible for more than 200 songs. Over the course of her career, Sinach has headlined concerts in over 50 countries on six continents.
In March of 2019, the music video for "waymaker" became the third Nigerian video to receive more than 100 million views on YouTube. Waymaker is a song that has been covered by a variety of Christian musicians, including Michael W. Smith and Leeland, amongst others. In September of 2019, Sinach made history by being the first gospel performer to originate from Africa and tour India leading shows that drew crowds of several thousand. In May 2020, she broke new ground by being the first African musician to top the Christian songwriter chart in the Bible. The song remained at the top of the songwriter's list for a number of months.
Sinach is also leading a rich and joyful life outside of the realm of music. On November 17, 2019, she tied the knot with a pastor at her place of worship. At the Lima Awards, Pastor Chris Oyakilome made the announcement that Sinach had given birth to her first child. This sparked massive jubilation among members of the Christ Embassy and her fans all over the world, who had begun expressing their concerns over what they perceived to be an unusually long period of time between Sinach's performances. Her whole life is a great testimonial; there is no question about it.
