Sokoto, Zamfara, and other states will face warming weather
The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) under the leadership of its president, Professor Mansur Bako Matazu, has predicted that states like Zamfara and Sokoto will experience more warming than usual.
In a statement issued by the spokesperson of NiMet, Muntari Yusuf Ibrahim, the agency stated that the investigation by the regional branch agency showed that the temperature is expected to reach more than 40 degrees in the next few hours. I 48 followings.
According to the statement, "The parts of Kebbi, Sokoto, Zamfara, Taraba, and Adamawa are expected to experience temperatures of more than 40 degrees. While most of the Northern regions of the country are expected to experience temperatures between 35 and 40 degrees. this includes Oyo, Kwara, FCT, Nasarawa, and Benue states.”
The statement also warned that cities such as Bauchi, Gombe, Maiduguri, and Yola may face the threat of extreme heat.
