To guarantee that the naira notes are accessible to the general population, the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has directed the nation's banks to be open today, Saturday, and tomorrow, Sunday.
In a statement posted by the CBN on the Tuwita website, he claimed that he had distributed a significant amount of naira notes to the nation's banks and ATMs to address the issue of widespread cash shortages.
The statement further stated that the CBN had mandated that the banknotes be transferred from its branches to commercial banks nationwide.
She continued by saying that the nation's commercial banks had received a sizable quantity of notes to give to their clients in an effort to put money in the hands of the general populace.
The message went on to say that, in order to make things simpler for its clients, the country's Central Bank had instructed commercial banks to place the bills in their ATMs.
