The pirates kidnapped 16 crew members
The owners of a Danish ship hijacked by pirates in the Strait of Guinea last week said the pirates escaped and left the ship, taking with them 16 crew members.
However, some people in the Monjasa Reformer ship were successfully rescued.
The boat's owners said on Tuesday that five crew members took refuge in a cabin when the pirates stormed it.
The hijackers took control of the plane in the western part of the city of Pointe-Noire in the Republic of Congo.
