The police in Kano have arrested 14 people on suspicion of robbery and extortion

The police force in Kano state has announced the arrest of 14 people who it accuses of armed robbery, drug dealing, and other acts of prostitution during the first week of the fasting month of Ramadan.

The command said that the people were successfully arrested in an operation launched by its command to restore peace.

She said she also recovered weapons, illegal drugs, and stolen goods.

In a statement released by SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, the spokesperson of the state police force, she said that the state police commissioner, Mamman Dauda, ​​has declared war on all forms of discrimination in the state.

The police said that they are doing their best to stop all illegal activities in the state.

CP Mamman Dauda warned all criminals to refrain from doing so as they could face severe punishment if caught.
