The prison officer was prosecuted for allegedly selling work
The ICPC has arraigned a prison guard named Mr. Eyimoga Moses before the Federal High Court in Makurdi, the capital of Benue state, accusing him of selling work.
The ICPC said it accused Moses, who is working in a prison in Nasarawa state, of accepting 800,000 from a couple and falsely saying that he would give them a job at the Federal Government University in Lafia.
However, Moses denied committing the crime he was accused of, and he was granted bail while he continues to be detained at the correctional facility in Makurdi until he fulfilled the terms of his bail.
The court session was adjourned until June 20, 2023, to continue hearing the case.
