The Supreme Court of Nigeria confirmed Dauda Lawal as the PDP governorship candidate in Zamfara
The Supreme Court of Nigeria confirmed Dauda Lawan Dare as the legitimate governorship candidate of PDP in Zamfara state.
The decision of the court comes four months before the election of the governors of the states of the country which will be held on the 11th of March.
In the judgment of the five judges of the court under the leadership of Judge Adamu Jauro, they all agreed to reject the appeal filed by Dr. Ibrahim Gusau challenging the candidacy of Dauda.
The court said that it accepted the decision of the Court of Appeal in Sokoto on the 6th of January, which accepted the election of the second candidate which was won by Dauda Lawan.
In the election Dauda Lawan won with 442 votes against his fellow candidates.
