The government of Kaduna state has announced that 98 thugs and phone thieves known as "Sara-Suka" have been caught in the state.
Mallam Nasir El-Rufai, the governor of the state, has called for strict action against vandalism. This is because the number of thugs and phone thieves in Kaduna has been going up.
In a statement, Samuel Aruwan, the state's commissioner of security and internal affairs, said that 19 of them have been charged and are going to court. He also said that 61 people are still being looked into before they are charged.
People were attacked by the thieves, who took their phones and other things. Several people died and many more were hurt.
