A traditional chief died in the hands of bandits in Nigeria

A traditional chief in Aghara town, in Kabba-Bunu local government in Kogi state in north-central Nigeria has died in the hands of bandits who kidnapped him.

Reports say that the prince named David Obadofin spent 12 days in the hands of the bandits after they kidnapped him.

A man from the prince's family said that he died as a result of being tortured by the kidnappers.

Daily Trust newspaperIn Nigeria, a source reported that those who kidnapped the prince asked for a payment of two million naira before releasing him with a young woman named Temidayo Elewa.

According to reports, the prince died before the ransom was paid.

The bandits abducted the prince - who is a rich kashu farmer, along with Elewa on the day of Easter from his house in Aghara at about 11 o'clock at night, where they demanded a ransom of 60 million naira for their release.
