Buhari will go to the meeting in Ghana
Nigeria's President Muhammadu Buhari will attend the summit meeting of the leaders of the Gulf of Guinea region to be held in Accra, the capital of Ghana.
In a message published by the presidential office on its Tuwita website, it said the president will leave Nigeria on Tuesday, April 25 to attend the meeting, which will be chaired by the president of Ghana, Nana Akuffo-Ado.
The president is expected to deliver a speech at the meeting which will discuss strategies to strengthen peace and security and fight against criminals in the coastal areas of the countries.
While attending the meeting, the President will be accompanied by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama, the Adviser to the President on Security Affairs, retired Babagana Monguno, and the Director of the National Intelligence Service, Amb. Ahmed Rufai Abubakar, and other government officials.
