 MAAUN Kano University Inducts 1,200 Students for the 2022/2023 Academic Session

The Maryam Abacha American University of Nigeria (MAAUN) in Kano has successfully sworn in 1,200 new students who have been admitted for the 2022/2023 academic session.

The swearing-in ceremony was held for the second time on Wednesday, April 5, and Thursday, April 6, 2023, at the twin auditorium of Professor Adamu Abubakar Rasheed, where invited guests including parents attended the meeting.

The two-day swearing-in ceremony began with the students of the School of Computer Science on the first day, while the Schools of Social Sciences and Management, Health Sciences, and Nursing Sciences were sworn in on the second day.

In his speech, the president of MAAUN University Prof. (Dr.) Mohammad Israr said that the meeting shows that the students who have been admitted to the university have been officially sworn in according to the university administration. National (NUC) agreed.

He congratulated the students for being able to enter the university and urged them to embrace good morals and face their studies seriously.

 

"Remember that you are now ambassadors of the Maryam Abacha American University of Nigeria in Kano, and you must appear as ambassadors in all your dealings in the school," said Professor Israr.

The president said that the Maryam Abacha American University of Nigeria only conducts courses that have business value for students emphasizing that the curriculum in the university is about business and self-reliance.

He warned the students to follow the rules of the University and to be of good character, and to wear decent clothes.

In his speech, the founder and chairman of the university's governing council, Professor Adamu Abubakar Gwarzo, said that the MAAUN business school will soon be established in Paris to support students in their studies. their second degree with the aim of making their certificate relevant to the world.

He said the new students should consider themselves lucky to be admitted to the University saying that their certificate is the most recognized in West Africa and is the only certificate that is not recognized as any other. conditions for employment in the United States.

Professor Gwarzo said that the students who got the scholarship should be proud of being part of the MAAUN family because they will benefit from their investment in education.

He told the sworn-in students that at least 500 students who graduated from the Maryam Abacha American University of Niger in Maradi are working in different places in the United States.
