Nigeria will evacuate 5000 students from Sudan in buses

Nigeria's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama, told the BBC that the country's embassy in Sudan is trying to arrange buses to transport about 5,000 students.

It is hoped to take the students to the border of Sudan and Egypt.

It is from Egypt and it will be arranged how the authorities will start bringing the students in airplanes to go home to Nigeria.

But until now, the authorities in Nigeria have not said when the process of evacuating the students from Sudan will begin.

The Sudanese army and the RSF armed forces continue to fight in the struggle between the two sides to seize power.
