Since the civil war, Nigeria has been divided as it is now, according to His Highness the 14th Emir of Kano, Khalifa Muhammadu Sanusi II

 The Caliph of Tijjaniyya, Muhammadu Sanusi II has warned that Nigeria is more divided due to ethnic and religious differences since the Biafra war more than 50 years ago.

 Speaking at a meeting in Lagos, Muhammadu Sanusi said, "I don't think Nigeria has ever been in such a difficult situation since the civil war. We have challenges in the construction of this country.

 He said Nigeria is suffering from religious and ethnic differences.

 "We have an economy that is facing collapse and unfortunately, we seem to be suffering from a lack of good governance."
