 The Algerian government, under the office of the director of religious affairs, has honored Imam Walid Mahsas for expressing his deep love and compassion for the cat that climbed on his body while he was leading the Tarawih prayer.

 Imam Walid Mahsas was honored with the highest award in the country of Algeria due to the fact that he further expressed the pure love, compassion and mercy that Islam taught in the world.
