The UK will stop recruiting doctors from Nigeria
Britain has put Nigeria on a list of countries that won't take doctors and nurses from that country.
The UK did this after it changed its rules about hiring people from other countries.
Nigeria is now on the list of countries that have been given the red color by the World Health Organisation.
The WHO updates its list of countries every three years. This means that health workers will not be hired from these countries.
This means that Nigeria doesn't have enough doctors or health workers, so there shouldn't be a lack of workers.
The World Health Organisation seems to have been taken into account when the UK updated the list.
Nigeria is now one of the 55 countries where people can't be hired to work in health care.
But the UK's code of practise says that countries on the list of those harmed by the event can get off the list if they can come to an agreement with other countries.
How professional doctors are Leaving Nigeria
This is happening as the Nigerian House of Representatives talks about a bill that will make it illegal for doctors who went to school in Nigeria to work in other countries.
The second reading of the bill has already been done in the house.
The Nigerian Medical Association said that at least 50 doctors leave Nigeria every week to work abroad.
The main things that make people leave a country are bad job conditions, low wages, and a high cost of living.
