Tinubu Govt Wants Sanusi Back As Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN)
Currently, stakeholders are trying to get Sanusi Lamido Sanusi back as the governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), while the Tinubu government is preparing to take over.
Sanusi, who is a confidant of Kaduna State governor, Nasir El-Rufai, has started receiving news of the possibility of his re-appointment as the central bank governor.
As the governor of the CBN between 2009 and 2014, King Sanusi led the country's independent central bank to manage financial markets, especially after the global economic crisis of 2008 to 2009.
After that, the value of the Naira stabilized from about N155 to $1 for four years.
It is said that Tinubu wants to make a new financial management plan, which will adjust the budget policy to revive the country's economy once he takes power on May 29.
