Hilda Baci: A Nigerian woman has set a cooking record in the Guinness Book of World Records.

As of Monday at 8:32 a.m. local time, Hilda Baci had been cooking nonstop for 88 hours and 32 minutes.

A young woman from Nigeria has made history by being the person who has cooked the most without stopping.

Hilda Effiong Bassey, who is better known as Hilda Baci, has been cooking for 88 hours and 32 minutes as of Monday at 8:32 local time.

This means that Hilda, a cook from Lagos State in the south of Nigeria, beat Lata Tondon, an Indian cook who cooked nonstop for 87 hours and 45 minutes in 2019.

The young woman will keep cooking to build on the past she has already made.

In an interview with reporters, Hilda said that after watching Lata make this dish, she had already decided that she would make it herself.

On May 11, Baci, who is 27 years old, began making this dish.

Her story was all over social media, especially in Nigeria and other parts of Africa, where it gave her a lot of support.

"Go Hilda" is one of the things being talked about on Twitter.

Baba Jide Sanwo-Olu, the governor of Lagos, went to her kitchen in Lagos and told her he was happy and proud that this big event was happening in his state.

Hilda was inspired by well-known Nigerians.

Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the elected president of Nigeria, was seen to have given Hilda Bassey faith when he spits out his blessing in a live video on the kitchen's Instagram.

The man who is going to be president said that he wants to help her. Atiku Abubakar, who is running for president in 2023 as a member of the PDP party, was happy to hear about her cooking job.

He told her that it was not easy, but they believe she can do what she wants to do. He also said that because of her bravery, she will be an example for millions of people.

Peter Obi, the Labor Party candidate for president of Nigeria, didn't stay behind. He said that Hilda's efforts to make history were made possible by the hard work and courage of Nigerians.

He also told her he hoped the best for her.

Nigerians' love for Hilda

Many Nigerians crowded in front of Hilda's kitchen at Amore Gardens in the Lekki District while she still had hours to tell the news.
