The Nigerian Army did some drills in an Oban secondary school in the Akamkpa Local Government Area of Cross Rivers State. This was done to help the army and the citizens understand each other better.
The Army's plan for the school is to remodel three science labs and hire a number of servants to make a good learning environment for the kids.
Lt. Gen. Farouk Yahaya, the chief of staff of the Nigerian Army, was represented at the project's start by Major General MG Kangye, the head of the army's civil affairs department.
