The Friendship and Unity of Writers Really Impresses Me - Manab 'Yar Baba

Minab 'Yar Baba, a young writer whose star is rising in the world of web writers, was happy and glad that the writers talk to each other like brothers who live in the same community and don't act like they are different.

She says that this is one of the keys to how writing and Hausa writers around the world have grown. Here's what she said to Adamu Yusuf Indabo, who works for us:

Who is Manab 'Yar Baba?

First of all, my full name is Maryam Nasir Ibrahim, but I'm better known as Manab 'Yar Baba in the world of writing. I was born in the city of Kano, and I went to both religious and secular schools here.

So how did you find yourself in the world of writing?

I was always interested in writing when I was young, but I didn't know what it meant to write, or I thought it meant something else. When I was in JS 1, I started writing in an exercise book. I would sit and write, then gather my friends and read to them or tell them a story without writing it down. I didn't expect or plan to start writing online later, but I did. I started writing because I felt more confident, which is something I will never forget.

How long have you been writing, and how many books have you written?

I started writing on Tuesday, August 6, 2019, which is the sixth day of the eighth month in the year 1960. MONAH was the first book I ever wrote. Now, though, I've written seven books: Monah, Iya Ruwa, Kanin Ajali, Jannat, Madafa, and Laifin. Whose? Then I got my own back. But I have to get back at you for working with me.

Whose is one of these seven books?

JANNAT is heaven for me. Because it has a big event that makes it different from the other books I've written. The story of Jannat is based on some bad traits that people have in real life, such as hypocrisy, envy, greed, lying, etc. But the main point of the story is to show how greed is bad and how love is good. And most of the stories are based on things that really happened. So, when I wrote it, I paid attention to everything and focused on it. And Alhamdulillah! It has been praised in ways I didn't expect.

Which of the books was the hardest for you to write?

MADAFA is the hardest for me. Even though I got to the other side, I couldn't finish it until today. Sometimes I pick it up like I'm going to keep going, but then the problem is brought up. Because of the way the people inside live and how poor they are. Because it is an old word that has been used for more than 300 years. Because everything is from the past, which is different from the present, it's hard because you have to do study.

When do you like to write the most?

I like writing more when I'm by myself.

From the time you started writing until now, what have you accomplished through writing?

Alhamdulillah! As much as I've been successful at writing, I know that it's also a success in schooling because I know a lot about writing.

What about challenges?

Challenge! Life is so boring that if you don't have a task, you'll be mad at yourself, but if you say you'll focus on that, you'll never get anywhere, son of a b*tch. At some point, someone will do it. Alhamdulillah, the problems I've dealt with have been good for me because I've learned something from them.

What message do you have for your loved ones?

My message to my loved ones is that I am very grateful for your love for me, you are my strength, I wish you the best in your life.

Your fellow writers, what will you call them?

Writers! Servants of God! Indeed, you are serving the community by educating them, entertaining and enlightening them, may God guide us. However, I am calling on bad writers and the son of God to stop like this, to clean up their words and thoughts, because writing is the thoughts of the writer. And let's remember two things, the first is that school often takes the writer's thoughts and says that he will use them in our real world. correct, then you have a reward, and if it is the opposite, it is also the same. Second, every time we write a word, we should remember that we will be asked on the day when our mouth will not speak. Then there is something else that I want to talk about, son of God, before we write, do we know what is meant by writing? How is this writing done? What are the rules of writing? And so on.

In the end, I send a message of respect and greetings to the big and small writers, hoping that God will guide us and protect our figures from leading us to destruction. And he left us our friendship, because I am very impressed by the friendship and unity of writers.
