What is Blippi's Net Worth and Salary?

American children's entertainer and instructor Blippi, also known as Stevin John, has a net worth of $16 million. The character is known for acting like a child and wearing his trademark blue-and-orange outfit on an educational kids' show with the same name that can be watched on YouTube, Amazon Video, Hulu, and Netflix. Since 2014, when it first came out, his Blippi character has been making educational movies for kids. His figure always wears a blue and orange beanie hat, a blue shirt, orange suspenders, and a bow tie. John used to be a gross-out comic whose name was Steezy Grossman. When his two-year-old nephew watched low-quality YouTube movies, it gave him the idea for Blippi. In January 2014, he put out his first Blippi film. Since then, he has sold Blippi toys and DVDs and made content in various languages.

In 2020, Moonbug Entertainment bought the rights to the series. In the same year, Blippi made $17 million and was one of the best-paid YouTube stars in the world. The YouTube channel has more than 17.7 million followers at the moment.

Blippi Earnings

In 2020, Blippi made $17 million from all of the things he did. That was enough to make him one of the 10 highest-paid YouTube stars in the world for the year. He now has a very successful retail business that sells things like toys, accessories, and digital videos.
Early Years
Stephen J. Grossman gave birth to Stevin John in Ellensburg, Washington, on May 27, 1988. He grew up on a farm with cows, horses, and tractors all around him, which sparked his interest. He wanted to fly attack planes and drive limos when he grew up.

Blippi Serve in the military

John joined the U.S. Air Force on active duty in 2006, partly to follow his dream of flying. He was a loadmaster for the C-17 Globemaster military carrier plane at the 4th Airlift Squadron in Washington. John's job was to do the math and plan where to put the goods to keep the plane's center of gravity in the middle while it was in the air. 2008 was the last year he served in the Air Force.

Blippi

When John moved back to Ellensburg, his city, he was upset to see his two-year-old nephew watching bad YouTube videos. In response, he chose to make a new kids' show that would be fun and teach kids something at the same time. The result was "Blippi," which was first shown on YouTube in January of 2014. On the streaming show, John plays the title character, a childlike guy who always wears the same blue-and-orange outfit, including a beanie cap, bow tie, and suspenders. John says that Blippi was influenced by Mr. Rogers and other artists and teachers who used to be on children's shows.
"Blippi" went on to gain a huge fan base. Its movies have been watched billions of times on YouTube, and it is now available on Hulu, Netflix, and Amazon Video. In 2020, Moonbug Entertainment bought the brand, and the show was dubbed into Spanish, Italian, German, Hebrew, Arabic, and French, among other languages. Moonbug teamed up with Virgin Media in October 2022 to bring the show and other Moonbug shows to the United Kingdom. In March 2021, a deal was made to add children's material to the POPS Kids app. This made "Blippi" available in Southeast Asia. In January 2022, Netflix bought the rights to show "Blippi."

Because "Blippi" was so popular, a line of toys, books, and clothes based on the character were made. The "My Buddy Blippi" plush toy, which plays 15 of Blippi's most famous phrases and sounds, is one of the most interesting things for sale. "Blippi's Treehouse," a spinoff show that started on Amazon Kids+ in December 2021, is one of the other parts of the brand.

Here is Blippi's most-watched YouTube movie. As of this writing, more than 911 million people have watched the video:

Criticism

Even though "Blippi" is famous, parents and people who write about culture have a lot to say about it. People have complained that the show and characters are too simple and that the songs about pizza and trucks are boring and repetitive. Meanwhile, Nathan J. Robinson of Current Affairs called the show "dead and sterile."

"Blippi The Musical," a live show that was first played in 2019, caused a lot of trouble. People thought the show was a bait-and-switch because John himself didn't play Blippi; instead, a mimic named Clayton Grimm did. Ticket holders were eventually given their money back.

Steezy Grossman

Before Blippi, John made a bunch of gross-out movies for kids as the character Steezy Grossman, who was a boy whose parents had anal sex and turned him into poop. As Grossman, he made a lot of bad videos, including one in which he pooped on a naked friend after doing the Harlem Shake on a toilet. In 2019, John said he was sorry he made that video and used takedown letters from the Digital Millennium Copyright Act to get it taken down from search engines and social media sites.
