Dino Melaye swore that votes were rigged to elect Atiku
Dino Melaye, who worked for Atiku Abubakar's campaign, was called as a witness for Atiku Abubakar before the Presidential Election Appeals Court.
Melaye, who testified as a special witness for Atiku Abubakar, said that the final results of the presidential election that INEC told the world are not the same as the ones that INEC put into the computer.
Atiku's 22nd witness in court is Dino, who used to be a senator.
Atiku's lawyer, Chris Uche, brought Melaye before the court. He said that Melaye worked for the PDP at the Election Results Collection Centre.
He said that he wouldn't sign the election results that INEC released because they hadn't been put into the computer as needed.
He said that he left the Election Results Collection Centre before the results were even released because he heard that the election results were going to be put into the computer in a way that would hurt Atiku.
He said that's why most PDP agents across the country didn't sign form number EC8As, which had the poll results.
At the beginning of this week, PREMIUM TIMES Hausa reported that Atiku had asked INEC Chairman Yakubu to appear in the trial of Tinubu's win.
Mahmood Yakubu, who is in charge of the National Electoral Commission (INEC), will go to the Presidential Election Appeals Court in Abuja on Thursday. Yakubu will talk about the appeal that PDP candidate Atiku Abubakar made against Bola Tinubu, INEC, and APC. In the appeal, Atiku Abubakar argued that Tinubu shouldn't have won the presidential election.
Atiku's lawyer, Chris Uche, told Haruna Tsammani and the other five judges that Yakubu will be in court on Thursday.
Atiku's lawyers should call Yakubu and send him a summons to appear so that he can answer the questions they will ask him about Atiku's disagreement with the election results.
Peter Obi of LP came in third, and Atiku came in second.
And their lawyers want Yakubu to tell the court something important about the race for president.
Lawyers for INEC and APC were told by Attorney General Chris Uche that Yakubu will appear on Thursday. He told them that he told them so that they wouldn't bring anything to the hearing that day.
Atiku has called as many as 18 witnesses so far. But on Tuesday, Atiku's lawyer called "The Chief Witness," the day's main witness.
Alex Ter is a lawyer and a former Attorney General and Benue State Commissioner for Justice. He is the person who is testifying.
Alex Ter told the court that there were major problems with the February 25, 2023, presidential election that was run by INEC.
He also said that the full election is against the law for 2022.
Ter said in his speech after taking the oath that during the presidential election in Abuja, he was the Coordinator of the PDP Situation Room.
He then showed the court videos of INEC Chairman Yakubu and INEC Communications Commissioner Festus Okoye, who both said that INEC will send the election results from the Voter Registration Verification Machine (BVAS) to the Electoral Collection Software (iRev).
The third video he showed was of the President of the European Union, which the court also took as proof.
Then, as proof, Alex Ter gave the Electoral Court a copy of the rules that election officers for 2022 and 2023 need to follow when applying for their jobs.
Lawyer Ter didn't stop there. He also gave the court a picture of the IReV from INEC.
Even though INEC and Atiku's lawyers argued, the court accepted all of the copies of the video that Alex Ter played and showed in court as proof for Atiku's side.
