Midwestern Oil and Gas JV University Scholarship 2023


Since beginning production, Midwestern Oil & Gas Company Limited, the owner of the Umusadege Field in OML 56, Delta State, and its joint venture partner SunTrust Oil Company Nigeria Limited have implemented a number of initiatives that provide long-lasting progress to the natives of their host communities and Delta State as a whole by consistently investing in human capital to ensure economic development.

As a result, the business officially extends an invitation to all appropriately qualified Nigerian students to apply for its Scholarship Program for 2023–2024.


The Scholarship Program aims to support academic excellence and advance skill-based education among adolescents in Delta State and our host communities.

For Host Communities Only: University Community Award 
Requirements for the University Merit Award for Delta State Indigenous Students
The prerequisites for the Midwestern Oil and Gas Scholarship are as follows:

University Community Award


ONLY FOR HOST COMMUNITIES: UNIVERSITY COMMUNITY AWARD

1. At the time of application, the scholarship is available to students in the 100 and 200 level.
2. A minimum of 5 SSCE or GCE credits, including English and mathematics, must be earned in one session.
3. Admission letter from a Nigerian university that has been accredited or recognized, together with JAMB/UTME results.
4. A valid student ID card.
5. An identification letter that has been attested to and signed by the Ward Councilor or CACC.

University Merit Award - For Delta State Indigenous Peoples Only
1. Students at the 200 level are eligible for the scholarship, and they must have a CGPA of at least 3.5 at the time of application.
2. A minimum of 5 SSCE or GCE credits, including English and mathematics, must be earned in one session.
3. Admission letter from a Nigerian university that has been accredited or recognized, together with JAMB/UTME results.
4. A valid student ID card.
5. A cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 3.5 or above for their first year in college.
6. An identity letter from the LGA.

Application Methods

7. Each applicant must have a working phone number and personal email address.
8. Eligible applicants must submit their applications online at https://candidate.scholastica.ng/schemes/Midwestern 
9. Personal and academic information should be included in the application.
10. In addition to a current passport-size photo, applicants should upload scanned copies of the documents listed under "Eligibility/Requirement." 

How to Apply

To apply, take the following actions:

To begin, select the "Apply Now" tab. 
2. To register for an account, click "Register Now". 
3. Use your email to activate your account by going to your inbox. 
4. To return to the Scholarship website, click https://candidate.scholastica.ng/schemes/Midwestern. 
5. To upload your information, enter your registered email address and password. 
6. Fill out the relevant scanned documents by entering your name, national identification number (if applicable), educational background, and other information. 
7. Verify that the names on all documentation are spelled in the same order as they are on the applications. If not, upload a sworn affidavit or certificate. 
8. Verify that all papers are accurate and clear by viewing them after uploading. 
8. Upload a passport photo with a white background when prompted to do so. 
9. 10. To prevent problems, double-check the application information. 
1O. You can submit your information by clicking "Apply Now"; you'll get an email and an SMS confirming that your application was accepted. 
To download your profile, go back to https://candidate.scholastica.ng/, input your email address and password, and then sign the paper with your department's head of department. 
Visit any of the 37 capture centers listed at www.nimc.gov.ng/pages/general/enrolmentcentres.htm Click "Create Account" and fill out the necessary fields Log in with your Email and Password to complete the form After completion, plan a day for picture and fingerprint capture   You can also complete your total registration at the NIMC office; however, you must return to https://candidate.scholastica.ng/schemes/Midwestern and update the application with your National Identification Number (NIN) to ensure completion; and the deadline has passed.
Applications must be received by August 15, 2024, or earlier. Only the candidates who have been shortlisted will be informed of the examination date. Midwestern retains the right to pick and narrow down the list of applicants.

Note


1. There is no cost to apply for the Midwestern JV scholarship.
2. SCHOLASTICA is the Midwestern JV University Scholarship Award's official website. 

3. When submitting an online application for the Midwestern JV scholarship, be wary of scam websites. These websites might request money from you throughout the application process.
4. No applications via email will be accepted. 
5. Midwestern JV DOES NOT appoint agents or representatives to help candidates submit their applications. 
6. Any applicant who is found to have submitted fabricated documentation shall be disqualified or removed from consideration for the award at any stage. 
7. Only those who have been shortlisted will be invited to take the computer-based test.
