NITDA and Coursera scholarship for professional certification
The National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) and Coursera have formed a historic alliance to offer scholarships to help Nigerians obtain professional qualifications. Receivers will be equipped with the skills and knowledge required to flourish in the international digital landscape thanks to these certificates, which are recognised by top-tier US colleges and prominent tech corporations like Meta, Google, IBM, and IBM.
Category A (IT Career Pathway) and Category B (Complementary Skills Pathway) are two separate tracks offered by the programme.
There are 19 different professional certification programmes accessible under Category A, the IT Career Pathway. These programmes are made up of a number of connected courses that are intended to give students the in-depth knowledge and real-world experience they need to find job in the IT industry. Participants receive certificates upon completion of each course in the programme, and after completing all the needed courses, they receive a professional certification.
The Complementary Skills Pathway, which falls under Category B, consists of four certification programmes. These are intended to strengthen abilities in digital productivity tools, entrepreneurship, and freelancing, as well as to supplement IT career skills.
Before choosing, prospective participants can click on the programme links to find out more about the professional certificates. Successful candidates will receive a Coursera licence in the form of a joining link in their email, enabling them to access the chosen programme and enrol in a course.
The duration of the Coursera licence is six months. It is suggested that scholars to take advantage of this chance by earning as many professional certifications as they can. They are limited to enrolling in one certification at a time, though.
