PTDF Undergraduate and Postgraduate Scholarship 2023

The Petroleum Technology Development Fund (PTDF) is a Federal Government agency that is in charge of making sure that the oil and gas business has the people and technology it needs.

The Fund is inviting qualified Nigerians to apply for grants for undergraduate, master's, and doctoral studies.

How to Apply: You can apply for free through the PTDF grant portal at https://scholarship.ptdf.gov.ng/.

Apply now at http://scholarship.ptdf.gov.ng/how-to-apply

PTDF Undergraduate and Postgraduate Scholarship Requirements

1. Applicants must have a National Identity Number (NIN), and their NIN will need to be verified through the site before the application can move forward (NIMC verification fees apply).

2. People who have received a PTDF scholarship in the past can't apply for a degree in the same or a lower category.

3. People who have already won a scholarship don't need to apply.

4. You can only apply to Federal Universities and only for certain classes.

5. All applicants must have a valid letter of admission to the University.

6. A letter of admission for postgraduate studies should be good for one year (2019/2020 or 2020/2021 session).

7. Before the final selection of successful candidates, postgraduate applicants who meet the standards will be chosen for interviews.

8. Undergraduate applicants must have finished their first year and be in their second year of studies.

9 Only undergraduate applicants pursuing studies in oil and gas-related fields (as promoted) will be considered, and the final choice will be based on their transcripts' grades (transcripts must be signed and stamped by HOD/Exams Officer or any authorised staff).

10 Not all applications for part-time studies will be taken into account for admission.

11 The scholarship is hard to get and is based on ability. Candidates will be chosen based on how well each of the 36 states and the FCT are represented.

What you need to do to get an in-country scholarship (ISS)

1: A group will be put together to evaluate applications based on the following factors.

2. Academic merit, which can be seen in the level of degrees, full academic transcripts, other professional qualifications, and writings that applicants can point to.

3. Being a member of a skilled group.

4. Whether or not the study or research plan can be done (only for Ph.D. applicants). Undergraduate and Postgraduate (MSC) applicants must make a case for their scholarship by submitting a statement of purpose that explains why they want to study, how the planned study is relevant to the industry, and how it will help national development.

5.PhD applicants must present a research proposal of no more than 6 pages that includes the topic, introduction, literature review, research question(s), novelty, methodology, mode(s) of data collection, expected result(s), relevance to the industry, and references.
