Albert Einstein Academic Refugee Initiative (DAFI)
The DAFI (Albert Einstein German Academic Refugee Initiative) scholarship program allows qualifying refugee students to pursue an undergraduate degree in their home country.
Since 1992, the initiative has assisted over 18,000 young refugees to pursue postsecondary education with the dedicated support of the German government, UNHCR, and private benefactors.

World University Service of Canada (WUSC)
The Student Refugee Program is a one-of-a-kind program that combines resettlement in Canada with post-secondary academic opportunities for young refugees. WUSC, a non-profit Canadian international development organization, manages it.
It is important to note that the Student Refugee Program is NOT a scholarship program; instead, students are sponsored for one year and receive basic financial and social support.
Application Procedures
WUSC accepts applications from eligible asylum seekers in Jordan, Kenya, Lebanon, Malawi, Tanzania, and Uganda.
If you want to apply for the Student Refugee Program, you must meet the general eligibility conditions listed below:
Be a refugee living in a country of asylum where the program is available;
Have completed secondary school and have authentic and original educational transcripts;
1. Be between the ages of 18 and 25;
2. Be fluent in English or French (both orally and in writing);
3. Be a single person with no dependents or children.
Eligible for resettlement through Canada's Private Sponsorship of Refugees program;
1. Be self-sufficient, mature, and suited for integration in Canada; and
2. Currently face challenges to entering or completing post-secondary education (e.g., university or college).
Please keep in mind that each country of asylum has different eligibility conditions, which will be listed in the Call for Applications each year.
Please read the following before commencing the application process if you match the aforementioned criteria:
You must reside in the country of asylum from where you are submitting your application and be recognized as a refugee by the authorities tasked with granting this status, i.e. the host country government or UNHCR.
WUSC accepts approximately 130-150 candidates worldwide each year. Each year, the number of pupils by asylum country varies. There are no established targets for students based on their country of origin.
Sponsorship can take up to two years or longer. Before students are allowed to enter Canada, Canadian immigration officials make the final judgment.
The application requirements will be outlined in the Call for Applications, which will be made available by our field office or a partner organization. In general, you will be requested to do the following:
Fill out the Student Refugee Program application.
Include current contact information, such as an email address and a phone number (your own or that of someone who can take a message for you).
Include a copy of your high school graduation as well as all essential academic documents, including any past English or French language exam scores, if available.
USC Asylum Seeker Scholarship
The USC refuge Seeker Scholarship aims to assist those seeking refuge in Australia by assisting with tuition costs in addition to study assistance payments, in conjunction with other supportive measures provided by USC.
The University of Southern California (USC) will fund two (2) scholarships per year.
Each scholarship will cover the entire international student tuition expenses for any undergraduate or postgraduate program that a recipient is eligible to enroll at USC, as well as a stipend of $4,000 per year (pro-rata for part-time study) and a $1,000 one-time upfront payment in year 1.

A beginning undergraduate or postgraduate student enrolled at USC;

As a response to Europe's present asylum dilemma, this effort intends to provide a number of refugee students with the opportunity to learn about European immigration and asylum legislation.
It aims to aid refugees' integration into Europe, specifically by allowing them to interact with European academics and finish their education, which may have been halted due to forced departure from their native country.
Eligibility
Obtain international protection (refugee status or subsidiary protection) in any European country. Preference may be given to recent recipients of international protection.
Have an MA, or at the very least a BA or equivalent in Law or a comparable area, or equivalent professional experience in a relevant field, such as in NGOs;
Understand and speak either English or French.
The Paul & Daisy Soros Fellowships
The Paul and Daisy Soros Fellowships for New Americans are pleased to recognize the contributions of future generations of immigrants and refugees to the United States.
Eligibility
The Paul and Daisy Soros Fellowships for New Americans program selects Fellows based on three major criteria:
The candidate has shown originality, ingenuity, and initiative in one or more areas of her/his life.
The candidate has exhibited a dedication to and ability for achievement that has necessitated perseverance and hard work.
The candidate has shown a dedication to the values enshrined in the United States Constitution and the Bill of Rights. This includes but is not limited to, supporting human rights and the rule of law, opposing unjustifiable infringements on personal liberty, and advancing the responsibilities of citizenship in a free society.
In addition, the program takes into account two more criteria:
The contender promises to continue making big contributions. Those contributions are likely to demonstrate distinct creativity, originality, and initiative, establishing the candidate as a leading and influential figure in her/his fields of endeavor.
The candidate's graduate education is relevant to her/his long-term career aspirations and has the potential to improve her/his future creativity and achievement.
The International Telematic University UNINETTUNO
The International Telematic University UNINETTUNO offers 50 scholarships to students with international protection in order for them to pursue the courses offered by the University.
The 50 recipients of these scholarships will be allowed to enroll in one of the online University's degree programs for free.
The goal is to promote and encourage the academic and professional development of immigrants who hold the status of refugees.NINETTUNO University has students from over 140 countries enrolled, and its educational site (www.uninettunouniversity.net) is the only one in the world that is available in five languages (Italian, English, French, Arabic, and Greek).

Monash Humanitarian Scholarship
The Monash Humanitarian Scholarship is available to asylum seekers and students on a bridging visa.
Successful applicants will receive full international student support for the Monash undergraduate degree of their choice, as well as a $6000 monthly allowance.
Scholarship Qualification
A person who is currently in Australia on a Bridging Visa E or a Bridging Visa A and has applied for a Permanent Protection Visa, a Temporary Protection Visa, or a Safe Haven Enterprise Visa.
A new or continuing overseas student studying or planning to enroll in an undergraduate degree at a Monash campus in Australia.
Have an ATAR of at least 70.00
Information on Scholarships
Each semester, you must maintain a passing average (50% or higher).
If your residency changes, you can continue to receive the scholarship; however, if you are converted to a Commonwealth Supported Place and are eligible to defer your fees, you cannot continue to receive tuition payments, but you can continue to receive the allowance.
You may be required to give funders an annual progress report, which will allow you to share your experiences and benefits.
The Project for Borderless Higher Education for Refugees (BHER)
Since 2013, BHER university partners have provided accredited certificate, diploma, undergraduate, and graduate degree programs via online, on-site, and blended delivery methods.
All academic programs are provided free of charge to BHER's refugee and local students.
To deliver university programs in Dadaab, the BHER approach combines online and onsite (blended) teaching and learning.
The Goldsmiths University of London International Response Scholarship worth £8,825 Tuition fees are waived in full for each year of study. Accommodation in Goldsmith's halls of residence for a single study bedroom (up to £200 per week)

Apply by the funding deadline for their chosen course of study, and they will be offered conditional admission to the University of Cambridge; tick the box to apply for funding, and fill out the Cambridge Trust section of the online form stating how they meet the eligibility criteria, as part of their application for admission through the University's Applicant Portal.

Refugee Bursary at the University of Bath
This award is available to new undergraduate students who hold Refugee status or Humanitarian Protection, as stated below.
According to UKCISA, the definition for those studying in England indicates that eligible students have Refugee or Humanitarian Protection status:
You must be usually resident in England on the first day of your course's first academic year.
Must have been recognized as a refugee or awarded HP by the UK Government, or be the spouse/civil partner/child of a person having that status, and have been ordinarily resident in the UK and Islands since that time.
Eligibility
You must also meet the following requirements to be eligible:
be enrolled in a full-time undergraduate or foundation degree and registered as a student at the University of Bath, have begun your education here in the 2017/18 academic year or later, have a household income of £42,875 or less, and do not already hold an honors degree (or equivalent).
Students must complete an application for the Refugee Bursary, and evidence must be in the form of a genuine letter/document from the Home Office/UK Government proving their Refugee or Humanitarian Protection status. Your household income must also be validated.
The Bursary is worth £1,000 every academic year of study, plus £1,000 for start-up costs and a further £1,000 at graduation - a total of £7,000 during a five-year program including a placement year.
If you have not answered to our inquiries for and given proper proof of your Refugee/Humanitarian Protection status, you will not be eligible for an award.
Awards for previous academic years cannot be claimed retroactively.
Academic failure will not generally result in the termination of awards or the requirement of repayment.
Only one repeat year or part-year award will be given. Students who have completed more than one year of repeat study must demonstrate mitigating circumstances in order to be considered for additional assistance.
In the event of disciplinary action against an award-holder, the University reserves the right to terminate the award and demand reimbursement of funds previously paid. The Director of Student Services will review each case on an individual basis.
The University maintains the right to revoke a Refugee Bursary from anybody who is found to have deceived the University about any part of their eligibility, as well as to seek restitution of any amounts already paid through suitable channels.
Each academic year, the Bursary is paid in two installments: generally in December and March. A bank payment form will be required for eligible students to complete and sign.
Students are only permitted to receive one Care Leaver, Estranged Student, and Refugee Bursary per academic year. If you match the eligibility criteria for more than one of these bursaries, Student Services will decide which one you will receive. All of these bursaries offer the same financial assistance.

Birkbeck’s Sanctuary Scholarships
The Compass Project provides possibilities to students who would not otherwise be able to pursue a university education.
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
Those who have not previously studied for a degree at a UK university and have been out of formal education (including secondary education) for more than five years.
