Shell Scholarship 2024 Updates
In accordance with its Social Investment Programme in Education, which aims to promote academic excellence and increase the employability of young Nigerians, the Shell Petroleum Development Company of Nigeria Limited (Operator of the NNPC/SPDC/TEPNG/AGIP Joint Venture) invites suitably qualified Nigerian Students admitted into Full Time academic studies in the 2020/2021 session to apply for its University Scholarship Scheme.
The National Merit Award (NM) and the Areas of Operation Merit Award (OM) are the two types of merit-based scholarships.
1. All Nigerians are eligible for the National Merit Award (NM).
2. Areas of Operation Merit Award: Available to Nigerians who were born in the states of Bayelsa, Delta, Imo, and Rivers, which are the operational areas of SPDC.
Eligibility for Shell Undergraduate Scholarships
3. They must be Federal Republic of Nigeria citizens.
4. They must be enrolled as FULL-TIME undergraduates at an accredited and approved university in Nigeria.
5. Must have documentation of acceptance into an undergraduate course for the 2020–2021 academic year or be in 200 Level (as of January 2023) to qualify.
6. The applicant cannot have previously earned a scholarship from a national or international organization that works in the oil and gas sector.

1. All applicants should have a personal, active email address (to facilitate regular communication).
2. To be eligible for Operational Area Awards, applicants must provide scanned copies of letters of identification that have been legally stamped and signed by the following individuals:
3. The Community's Highest Ruler; 4. The Community Development Chairman (CDC); 5. The Executive Council Chairman (CEC); or
6. The letters should be sent to "The Manager, Social Performance, The Shell Petroleum Development Company of Nigeria Limited, Port Harcourt, Rivers State".
