North Korea says the launch of missiles ordered by President Kim Jong Un in the Sea of Japan shows that the country's largest warship is operational and can attack if the need arises.

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un attended a special naval exercise in which he ordered the country's warship to fire ballistic missiles as a test.
