The pressure of life forced the householder to hang himself in Jigawa
Reports from Jigawa state in the north of Nigeria confirmed how a householder hanged himself because of the high cost of living and the extreme poverty he was suffering from.
The spokesperson of the State Police DSP Lawan Shiisu Adam who confirmed this to the Daily Post revealed the name of the man as Sama'ila Ilu aged 35 years.
According to the state police, at about 11 o'clock last night, Thursday 17th August, we received a report that the man hanged himself to death in Dungun Tantama village in Kafin Hausa Local Government of the state.
According to the command, since last Wednesday, Sama'ila Ilu left his house without knowing where he went, before his body was found hanging from a tree.
The spokesperson of the Jigawa State Police Force said that their officers unearthed the body and handed it over to the hospital for investigation.
According to DSP Shiisu, investigations have shown that the man hanged himself because of the pressure of life and his body has already been handed over to his family to be buried according to the teachings of Islam.
