The governor of Kaduna state, Uba Sani has agreed to reduce school fees in higher education institutions in the state.


In a statement issued today Monday, the governor said he did this to reduce the hardships caused by the high cost of school fees for the people of the state.


The statement said that there has been a 30 percent reduction in school fees paid by students in the Kaduna State University, that is KASU.


There was also a 50 percent reduction in the fees paid by students at the Nuhu Bamalli College of Technology in Zaria.


In addition, the announcement said that there has been a 50% discount on the fees paid by students at the State College of Education in Gidan Waya.


While there has been a 30 percent discount on the fees paid by students studying for a diploma at the Shehu Idris College of Health Education in Makarfi, where diploma students will also get a 30 percent discount.


Finally, the announcement said that there was a 30 percent reduction in the fees paid by students in the state nursing college.
