 2023: CP Gumel Invites Leaders of NNPP and APC, Ahead of Court Ruling on Governorship Election in Kano

The Commissioner of Police in Kano State, Mohammed Usaini Gumel, on Thursday, invited the leaders of the NNPP and the APC, to a peace meeting organized to end any fear of violence, before the decision of the Court of Appeal. The governorship election in Kano state will take place.

Thousands of supporters of the NNPP held special prayers across the 44 local governments of the state on Thursday, where they sought God's help to win the court.

Taking measures to prevent any threat or fear of violence emerging among the residents of Kano, Police Commissioner Gumel invited the leaders of the two political parties in the state for a reconciliation meeting.

A statement signed by CP Gumel himself on the important issues shows that the leaders of the two political parties have embraced peace and assured that they will wholeheartedly accept the court's decision.
