 Canada accuses India of involvement in the killing of a Sikh leader

India has responded strongly to Canada's accusations that it may be involved in the murder of Hardeep Singh Nijjar, a Canadian activist, a follower of the Sikh religion.

Last June he was shot to death outside a place of worship in British Columbia.

Earlier, Canadian Prime Minister Justine Trudeau called on India to cooperate with Canada in its investigation to find out the cause of the murder.

Trudeau also said he raised the issue during his meeting with his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi at the recent G20 summit.
