 Hunger and measles killed 1,200 children in Sudan - MDD

The United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) says at least 1,200 children in refugee camps in Sudan have died since May of starvation and measles.

She said thousands more, including babies, are at risk of dying before the end of the year.

UNICEF says that more than fifty thousand children need treatment for the worst malnutrition problem every month in Sudan.

And she said the war has forced some feeding centers to close.

The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) said many of the children who die in refugee camps have fled the war between South Sudan and Ethiopia.
