 Many polling stations are closed - Denis Mukwege

The presidential candidate in Congo, Dr Denis Mukwege also cast his vote in the ongoing elections in the country.

Dr Mukwege was accompanied by other officials when he voted in Kinshasa, the capital of Congo.

He also complained about the events that happened in some constituencies in other parts of the country.

"The information we are getting is not very good," Dr Mukwege told the BBC.

"There are many polling stations that have not yet opened. It is a concern for us but we are waiting to see how it will turn out," he said.

The candidate of the ACRN party expressed his determination to get the Congo out of the problem of fighting hunger and other problems if he wins.
