Scholars In Kano Offer Prayers For God To Confirm His Success In The Supreme Court
On Tuesday, Islamic clerics in Kano held special prayers to see the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Nasiru Gawuna, has succeeded in becoming the governor of Kano in the decision that the Supreme Court is expected to make.
The scholars who came from the three major Islamic religious groups, prayed to the judges of the Kano State Governorship Election Court and the Court of Appeal in Abuja for what they called the dismissal of the case filed against the Jama'a. APC party in the state on the dispute for the governorship seat.
If it can be recalled, the Court of Appeal and the Court of Appeal declared Gawuna of the APC as the winner of the Kano State governorship election held on March 18, 2023.
The group of scholars including Tijjaniyya, Izala and Kadiriyya have presented the prayers to the Supreme Court and the Court of Appeal to restore the people of Kano their right to what they have chosen.
The scholars were represented including Sheikh Albakry Mikail from the Tijjaniyya Sect, Malam Garba Yusuf Abubakar from the Izala group and Professor Maibushira from the Kadiriyya Sect.
According to Malam Abubakar, the prayers were held to ensure justice and victory over the supporters of the NNPP party in Kano.
He said: "We have gathered here to offer special prayers to the judges of the Supreme Court and to call on the judges of the Supreme Court to look carefully at the facts before them and do justice to the people of Kano State. to restore their stolen victory."
