 'The people who died in the attacks on Plateau reached 195'

The head of Bokkos local government in Plateau said that 148 people were killed in the attacks by bandits on the eve of Christmas in the area.

This according to the Vanguard newspaper, comes at the same time that the number of people who died as a result of the attacks in the three local governments of the state reached 195.

Among the number, 148 people were killed in Bokkos Local Government, 19 in Mangu Local Government and 27 others in Barkin Ladi.

1,290 houses were also burnt in Bokkos and one house in Mangu was also burnt but it is not yet known how many houses were burnt in Barkin Ladi.

More than 10,000 people were killed as a result of the attacks by the bandits in the areas of Bokkos and Barkin Ladi.
