 The presidential election has started in Congo

People in the Democratic Republic of Congo started voting today Wednesday in the presidential and parliamentary elections.

Voters are angry in Kinshasa, the capital, after some polling stations were not opened on time.

The Congolese electoral commission said it is ready to hold the election despite the many challenges, especially from the rebel-held areas that are preventing the election.

President Felix Tshisekedi will compete with 18 candidates for the presidency.

For the first time, the Congolese people living in five foreign countries, including Belgium, which adopted the country - will vote.
