Vice President of Nigeria Kashim Shettima visited Jaje Plateau State
The Nigerian government has vowed to find those who killed more than a hundred people last weekend, in Plateau state.
- The Vice President of Nigeria, Kashim Shettima, made this known during a condolence visit to those who met the victims of the bandit attacks in Bokkos, in Plateau State. and hundreds, and destroyed property worth millions of Naira, he said the government will do everything possible to help those affected by the disaster.
The governor of Plateau State, Caleb Mutfwang, who also reiterated his government's efforts to ensure that those who committed the crime were punished, also said that the arrival of the vice president shows that the government is willing to help.
The District Head, Mbar in Bokkos local government, Danjuma Rafan said the attack surprised them because there was nothing that united them with their friends.
The leader of the Fulani group Gan Allah in Bokkos local government, Saleh Yusuf Adam said they were also treated as animals and people were killed.
Earlier, the chairman of Bokkos local government, Monday Kassa, gave the number of one hundred and forty eight people killed in twenty five villages.
One thousand two hundred and ninety houses were burnt to the ground.
The attackers also burned eighty-one cars, one hundred and eighty-seven motorcycles, two hundred and sixty-seven irrigation machines, while eighty-eight people who got serious injuries are lying in hospitals and receiving treatment.
