Dangote Named Wigwe On The Road That Entered His Company's Oil Refinery
Aliko Dangote, a Nigerian business magnate has honored the late Herbert Wigwe, the Chairman of Access Bank, by naming the entrance of Dangote's oil company after him.
Dangote described Herbert as a loyal friend and pillar of support for him and his family, who has become a role model with unparalleled vision and courage.
"I am proud to name my friend, my advisor, and my supporter." said Dangote.
Not to be forgotten, Wigwe along with his wife and son died in a helicopter crash on February 9, 2024 in the United States on his way to Super Bowl LVIII in Las Vegas.
Weeks later, his friends including businessmen, governors, government officials and others gathered at the commercial center of the country as Wigwe's burial began with an event titled, 'Celebrating Herbert Wigwe - A Professional Legacy'.
Some of the dignitaries who attended the event included the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Yemi Cardoso; Minister of Finance and Economy, Wale Edun; African Development Bank President Akinwumi Adesina; Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos; Dapo Abiodun of Ogun state and many others.
